The Fondation des Etats-Unis is delighted to welcome the vocal ensemble Voices Choeur International on Thursday, January 12th at 8pm. This choir is directed by Marc-Frédéric Indorf, a former resident of the FEU. The program will include tunes such as Little Innocent Lamb, A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square, Most Wonderful Time of the Year or Amazing Grace.
About the Choir
Voices Chœur International is a unique vocal ensemble in France uniting around 30 singers of various nationalities who enjoy performing a capella concert style Negro Spirituals, and other styles of contemporary American and English choral music. The program to be performed at the FEU will combine well known and lesser known melodies of Vocal Jazz, Negro Spirituals, Gospel, and more, with a few souvenirs of the Holiday Season.
Marc-Frédéric Indorf, a former resident of the Fondation des États-Unis, has directed Voices Chœur International for several years, but also works as an organist, composer, and accompanist. He sings countertenor for the Ensemble Vox in Rama. As a concert organist, he has performed across France and the United States, including Alaska. He holds several degrees from the Conservatories of Boulogne-Billancourt and Paris, a Bachelor’s degree in music from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio (USA), and a Masters in musicology from the University of the Sorbonne.
