What do you know about volontary termination of pregnancy or abortion, if you have the courage to call it that?
This subject, which is closely related to women’s rights, is often the source of great controversy and conflict around the world. For this reason, let’s dare to talk about it and break the barriers!
As part of the Women in the World cycle, we propose that you take time to reflect on the disparity of women’s rights to abortion between countries. The evening will begin with a round table discussion with researchers Jennifer Merchant, a specialist in women’s rights in the United States, and Raquel Fière, who will speak on the Portuguese-speaking and Spanish-speaking worlds, followed by a presentation by a resident who has conducted a peer survey. The evening will be animated by readings by two actresses from Le Monde Renversé, Clara Bonnet and Marie-Ange Gagnaux.
The Women in the World group invites you to share your opinion on the subject by answering this short questionnaire. Your participation, which will only take a few minutes, will help enrich the discussion on November 24th. You have until November 16 to participate. Event organized at the Fondation des Etats Unis, in partnership with the Maison du Liban, the Maison de l’Argentine, the Maison des étudiants canadiens, the Fondation Suisse, the Maison du Portugal – André de Gouveia and the Théâtre de la Cité internationale. With the support of Amnesty International.
