On Tuesday, August 29th, the FEU invites you to an exceptional summer performance before officially opening the new cultural season mid-September. Mark Bankin, choreographer and FEU alumnus, is touring with his dance company in Europe before coming to Paris for a short residency and show at the FEU. Chopin: Nocturne No. 13 in C minor has been imagined especially for the FEU’s Grand Salon.
Choreographed via incoherent movement notation diagrams for the nervous system transmitted to the dancers as partitions to mistranslate, this introspective dance considers 2017, the endurance of monuments, the fragility of archives, and hunger. Acclaimed concert pianist Thomas Puissochet plays on repeat Chopin’s Nocturne No. 13 in C minor, Op. 48 No. 1.
