There are a number of ways to support the FEU in the short, medium and long-term. Most monetary donations can provide significant tax benefits.
Individual Donations
Individual donations can be in the form of:
- Occasional donations (for example, to support the cultural program)
- Will bequests
- Life insurance gifts
- Individual Retirement Account (IRA) and other retirement savings plan gifts
- Donation-in-kind (furniture, instrument, etc.)
Corporate Donations
Businesses can support the FEU by:
- Investing in the renovation of rooms or ateliers for artists and musicians
- Offering a scholarship to residents (art, music, international relations, computer science, literary research… all disciplines are represented)
- Donating technical equipment, musical instruments…
Tax Benefits
Private donors and businesses can receive tax credit. The FEU provides certificates for donations made in France.
In France
- Income Tax
Under 1000€, 75% of your donations can be deducted from your taxes. Above this limit, 66% of your donations can be deducted from your taxes, up to 20% of your taxable income. If your contribution exceeds this annual limit of 20% of your taxable income, the excess is carried forward over the next five years (including the fifth year). If you must pay the IFI, 75% of the amount of your donation is deductible from your IFI, up to a maximum deduction of €50,000. A donation of 2000€ for example, will return to 500€ after tax deduction.

Companies benefit from a 60% tax break with a cap of 0.5% of the company turnover.
