Meet Jonathan
A tenured violinist with the Orchestre de Lauréats du Conservatoire de Paris, Jonathan Mutel is a classically trained violinist open to a wide range of musical horizons. He performs regularly as a soloist with the Ensemble Royal de Paris and has played in the past at such concert halls as the Philharmonie de Paris, the Palais Garnier, the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, the Théâtre du Châtelet, and the Salle Gaveau. His passion for early music led him to study Baroque violin at the Conservatoire Supérieur d’Amsterdam and to perform with early music ensembles such as Ensemble Matheus and the Orchestre de l’Abbaye aux Dames. Musical improvisation is also at the heart of his artistic activity and has been studying jazz violin at the Conservatoire du 5ème arrondissement for the past two years. Finally, Mutel holds a Diplôme d’Etat de Professeur de Violon, and places particular importance on teaching at the École National de Musique de Villeneuve-la-Garenne.
