Step up to dance! The Fondation des Etats-Unis will host an intensive dance workshop from July 30th to August 5th organised by the contemporary dance troupe Althea Dance Company, open to all those who wish to participate in a unique experience. Based in New York, the company will offer contemporary technique classes taught by its members and by a guest teacher, repertory classes, improvisation sessions and partnering classes. The workshop also includes daily choreography sessions for the creation of a piece by the participants, which will be presented at a show open to the public on Saturday August 4 at the Fondation des Etats-Unis. Althea’s work is a blend of contemporary flow and seamless movement, yet very physical, which mixes floor work with the lines and extensions of the dancers.
Closing performance: the general public is welcome to join us for an Althea Dance Show in the Grand Salon on Saturday August 4 at 7:00pm.
